Arie Haan ka lindur me 16 nentor 1948 ne Finstervolde te Holandes dhe si futbollist ka luajtur ne rolin e mesfushorit. Ai ka shënuar 6 gola ne 35 ndeshje me kombetaren e madhe holandeze te viteve 70’. Ne karriere ka luajtur me skuadra si Ajaks, Anderleht, Standart i Liezhit dhe PSV Eindhoven, duke arritur 7 here ne finale te Kupave te Evropes dhe duke fituar 5 here. Haan fitoi tre here rresht Kupen e Kampioneve me Ajaksin e madh, ne vitet 1971, 1972, 1973, ndërkohë qe arriti te fitonte edhe tre kampionate.
