Ajo u shpall kampione e Evropës në stilin e shkëputjes, ku ngriti 101 kg,
ndërsa në dygarësh u rendit e dyta vetëm me 29 gram më tepër se rivalja e saj. Me këtë triumf Romela Begaj tashmë mund të quhet pa frikë ikona e
re e peshëngritjes shqiptare Romela.Jam shumë e lumtur, pasi ngrita lart flamurin shqiptar dhe jam krenare për këtë fakt.Mund të them se isha shumë e
emocionuar, por ndihem edhe pak me fat. Isha shumë pranë titullit kampione e Evropës, por ka ende kohë përpara.
