Ikonë e Beratit, e shekullit të 16-të, dëshmi e tolerancës së shkëlqyer fetare në Shqipëri
|
Kryeministri Berisha ne fjalën e tij ne samitin e Parisit nuk harroi te përmend edhe tolerancen e vërtetë fetare qe i karakterizon shqiptarët në vend. Ne këtë mënyrë kreu i qeverisë paraqiti për te pranishmit edhe fotografi ku tregohej një ikone e Shen Marise ne qytetin e vjetër te Beratit e rrethuar nga minaret e dy xhamive.
“ Ne këtë qytet ndodhet një kishe e shekullit te 16-te qe unë e vizitoj shpesh, sepse njera prej ikonave te bukura te saj, një foto te cilës e kam marrë sot me vete dhe po jua tregoj këtu, paraqet Shen Marien me foshnjen Jezu ne krah dhe ne te dyja anet e saj ndodhen dy minare, deshmi kjo e një respekti te thelle e te palekundur te shqiptareve për besimin e njeri-tjetrit”, foli Berisha në lidhje me pamjen e sjell nga qyteti i vjetër i Beratit. Sipas Berishës, Shqipëria dhe shqiptarët me pervojat e dhimbshme qe historia u rezervoi, si pushtimet, ndarjen, genocidin e izolimet e veteshpallura apo te imponuara, por edhe me traditat e një kombi plurireligjioz, ka një tolerance te shkelqyer fetare, qe nuk ka njour konflikte ne tërë historinë e tij.
