Takimi i së hënës i udhëheqësve të Kosovës më presidentin e Shteteve të Bashkuara Xhorxh Bush, në Prishtinë shihet si një nga ngjarjet më të rëndësishme dhe më me peshë për të ardhmen e Kosovës. Vizita e presidentit dhe kryeministrit të vendit në Shtetet e Bashkuara, është e para që nga shpallja e pavarësisë së Kosovës më 17 shkurt. Ky hap u mbështet nga Shtetet e Bashkuara dhe vendet kryesore të Bashkimit Evropian, ndërsa u kundërshtua ashpër nga Serbia dhe Rusia
